So, the other day I was at the mall and I saw a lady in a full-on purple track suit. You know those ugly two piece velour suits? I thought to myself... "Wow, I haven't seen one of those in awhile!" At least not worn as a full put-together suit. *cringes* So I went on with my day and suddenly I started seeing more people wearing them.. teal, pink, orange!! eek! Was it bring-out-the-old-stuff from-your-closet-day at the mall? I don't know, but I am scared. I remember seeing way too many of those when I was in grade 7, living in Montreal. All the "cool kids" wore them.
So I ask you... was this just a Sunday at the mall coincidence? Or are the velour track suits making there way back out of the closets graveyards?
oh jesus I hope they are not coming back! Way too many people who wore those should not be allowed to wear them. *shudders*
ReplyDeleteUgh! Boy do I hate workout wear as outerwear. I do not go around in public in sweatpants and sneakers. And velour? Well that's a big no-no. Especially with rhinestones and glitz--that's just for fancy-dress night on the shuffleboard court! :)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't wear one out of my house but I'm pretty stoked about finding one to wear in my house! They look cozy and less obvious then pj's at 3:00 pm.
