A Dinner Time Craving

When I am craving something flavourful and yummy for dinner, but really don't feel like cooking I pop out my rice cooker, my frying pan and make some stir fry! Here is my yummy and simple recipe!

Ingredients:
Garlic
Soy Sauce
Ginger
Baby corn
Zucchini
Onions
Green beans
Chicken
Shrimp
Scallops

Directions:
Cut chicken in small pieces and fry until cooked. Add onions, garlic, soy sauce and ginger then add the rest of the veggies. Fry them until they are almost entirely cooked and then add shrimp, scallops or both.

Put it on top of some rice and now you are ready to eat!

ONE OF MY FAVORITE RECIPES

This recipe is soooo good! I can not stress that enough. It is from a new cook book that I got last Christmas called "The World Of Street Food" by Troth Wells.

Tortilla wraps

makes 12 preparation:10 minutes cooking: 15 minutes

12 tortillas, kept warm
1 onion chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 pound / 450g cooked chicken + 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1-2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 banana, sliced
grated peel of one orange
1 egg, beaten
oil
salt and pepper

+optional. You can use 1/2 pound/255 g grated monterrey jack or cheddar cheese instead, but add it towards the end. See #4 below.

1Start by heating some oil in a pan and then gently cook the onion until transparent.
2 Next, add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, meat if using and salt and pepper; stir well.
3 Put in the banana and orange rind. Simmer, stirring all the time, and then add the egg. Cook for a further minute or two.
4 Place 1-2 tablespoons of the mix on each tortilla. Put cheese on top, if using, and then roll up each tortilla. Lay them in a warm serving dish. Spoon any remaining mixture around the tortillas and serve at once with salad.

Cup Cake Contest

My mom's work decided to have a cup cake contest. Here are all of the entries.
This is the root beer flavoured cup cakes... yes there is a pickle on top! Not sure why.
These cup cakes won the contest because one of them is a portrait of the judges dog. (suck up!)
This is our lovely entry! The circuit board cup cakes. We got second prize! My mom works at a computer soft ware company so we thought the theme would be suitable.
