Fall In August
Here is a sneak peek of the beads and colours that I will be using in my new fall designs coming out in August. The beads are green and peach chalcedony, lemon quartz and there will also be beautiful blue topaz included in some of the designs.
Fall is a great time of year, it is the time of year when you can wear anything in your closet because its not to hot or to cold. Fall is the time of year when the trees become stunning colours of red yellow and orange. Fall is my favorite time of year, I love it!

Vancouver's Sky Lit Like Fire
There was a beautiful sunset in Vancouver tonight and it was even more beautiful because it was accompanied by thunder and lightning. Bolts of lightning were traveling across the sky amidst the beautiful sunset that made it look like the sky was on fire. The colour went from a watermelon shade of red/pink to grapefruit orange and then a deep purple before the sun went down, but the lightning still lights up the sky once in a while. So the entertainment still continues.
Here is the view of the last few minutes of the sunset. With flash on.
Here is more of the sunsets earlier into the sunset. (With out flash on) blurry

Blim, A Hot Day On Main St
So I did the Blim and car free day/ 1886 festival today and it was HOT! I got the weirdest sun burn from standing in one spot all day. My one arm is way darker than my other arm because it was on the side the sun was shining on all day. I was also wearing a t-shirt that ended up giving me a circle tan on my chest! Yay, circle tans rock!
As for the festival, it was great! There was lots of people and every one was very chatty which I like. Here is a picture of my cute little table and me!

Quit Your Day Job
Quitting your day job! Sounds like a great idea, but can be a big step for most people. For me I don't have a day job so there is nothing to quit. I am living with my lovely mother still and am diving head on into the life of selling my my wares on Etsy and other places as well. I found this article on The Storque that has 5 great tips from people who are successfully making a living on Etsy. (click on picture to see article)

This necklace is made with sterling silver wire that has been hammered flat in a blob like shape. Some say it looks like a bunny some say it;s just a blob, but it can be whatever you want it to be.
The stone in the middle is orange cubic zirconium. Which is faceted and very sparkly!
The chain is sterling silver and measures 16" long

ONE OF MY FAVORITE RECIPES
This recipe is soooo good! I can not stress that enough. It is from a new cook book that I got last Christmas called "The World Of Street Food" by Troth Wells.
Tortilla wraps
makes 12 preparation:10 minutes cooking: 15 minutes
12 tortillas, kept warm
1 onion chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 pound / 450g cooked chicken + 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1-2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 banana, sliced
grated peel of one orange
1 egg, beaten
oil
salt and pepper
+optional. You can use 1/2 pound/255 g grated monterrey jack or cheddar cheese instead, but add it towards the end. See #4 below.
1Start by heating some oil in a pan and then gently cook the onion until transparent.
2 Next, add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, meat if using and salt and pepper; stir well.
3 Put in the banana and orange rind. Simmer, stirring all the time, and then add the egg. Cook for a further minute or two.
4 Place 1-2 tablespoons of the mix on each tortilla. Put cheese on top, if using, and then roll up each tortilla. Lay them in a warm serving dish. Spoon any remaining mixture around the tortillas and serve at once with salad.
