I want to be BIG

I want to be big! I want to be a successful jewellery designer and I want people to know who I am. So I am going to have to do something to eventually become successful. So my plan is this...

First I am going to build this blog into something more than just some random jewellery makers blog...I want to try to try to help other people like me as I am going through my journey as a small business. I will share all the things that I learn and hopefully that will help someone.

Second I want to get my jewellery out there and in some local Vancouver stores... I am thinking of a couple already. I just have to get the courage to go down there and ask them. I think I will make a book that is sort of like a (jewellery portfollio). Which could also be helpful in many more ways as well.

Now I have this written downa nd I can hold my self to it!

These earrings are magical! The tear drop gemstone which is iolite ascents the curve of the sterling silver wire that almost looks like a sliver of the moon. The iolite is a deep violet blue colour just like the nights sky. These earrings are so calming and peaceful, you will feel like you are on the world when wearing these earrings. Sleepymoondesign

Jewellery party had great results

Yay, the jewelry party went great. I got to show everyone my jewelry in person and they had as long as they wanted to look at it. I really think that at craft fairs people rush by the tables to quickly to really look at everything there.
We also had a couple of games that we played and a give away. I had to pieces of jewelry that I wrapped about 5 to 10 times each and had everyone sit in a circle. I then told them to unwrap one layer and pass it to the next person and the person who unwraps the last layer gets the prize that is inside. I contemplated putting 20% off cards in the prizes as well but did not end up doing that. Maybe next time.
For the give away that was a draw I went around and asked for every ones name and email on a piece of paper and then drew two names for the two prizes I gave away. The winners both loved their prizes it couldn't have worked any better.
This was also a great opportunity to start a mailing list...

Visiting my home town

Right now I am taking a ten day trip and am staying in my home town to visit everyone that is here. It has been really great seeing everyone and a great way to get the word out about my new business. Since I have only been seriously working on my jewelry design for about half a year it is the first time many of my family and friends have had a chance to see my work, other than on etsy. I would say that my jewelry has already had a great response within my family. I am having a jewelry party tomorrow for everyone to come and see everything set up on a display. I am also having a door prize for the people who come. Which will include some fun things that I find at the store today and some of my jewelry. I am excited to see how this party will turn out. I guess we will see tomorrow.
